From My New Mexico Garden to Your Table

Hi, I’m Dee. (Dolores). Dee’s Spicy Habit started with salsa I made from vegetables I grew myself in our home garden in New Mexico. What began at home grew into something bigger, one jar and one taste at a time.

A Winning Start

In 2024, I entered the Salsa Showdown in Hurley, New Mexico, and took first place. That win helped turn Dee’s Spicy Habit into a small business. We launched our product in December 2025.

In September 2026, Dee’s Spicy Habit earned second place and Reserve Grand Champion at the Battle of the Salsas in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From the first homegrown batch to that recognition, the heart of this salsa has stayed the same: bold flavor and a love of New Mexico tradition.

Our hot salsa is now co-packed by Apple Canyon Gourment and is shelf-stable for two years. That means you can keep a jar ready for the next meal or share a little New Mexico heat with someone you love.
